History of netball in Malaysia starts when it is popular among Christian missionary schools. The teachers in city are particularly keen on playing netball. The Netball Association in Malaysia was establish in 1978. The association has participated in several international events such as the Asian Championship and World Cup Champions. Malaysia Olympic ceremony has invited Malaysian Netball Association to host the netball competition in Sea Games at Kuala Lumpur in 2001. The Malaysia Netball Association was also involved in Commonwealth Sports held at Malaysia in 1998.
